LOOK: The spirit of bayanihan in Batanes! ✨
The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines recently conducted the TPB Members’ Inspection Tour with a CSR Activity in the breathtaking province of Batanes from May 19-23, 2024. The activity aimed to support the rebuilding of communities in Batanes as they recover from the aftermath of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.
As part of the Destination Marketing Assistance for Tourism Recovery Program (DMATRP), TPB provided essential supplies to local tour guides and materials for cogon reroofing and tourist tricycles. Batanes Central School, which was damaged by fire earlier this year, also received much-needed school supplies generously donated by TPB Members.
This initiative is part of TPB’s ongoing commitment to uplift local communities and support the sustainable recovery of Philippine tourism – one destination at a time.
