Dear TPB Members:
Greetings from the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB)!
We are pleased to inform you that the TPB and the Department of Tourism (DOT) Japan (Tokyo and Osaka Field Offices) are planning for the Philippine Business Mission (PBM) 2021.
For this year, our initial plan is to gather Philippine Sellers under one venue in Manila for a one or two-day hybrid business event for them to meet with Japanese buyers who are likewise converging in Osaka and Tokyo. These hybrid business meetings will be supported by online technology platforms. Furthermore, monitors screens in Manila, Osaka, and Tokyo will be installed to allow Philippine sellers and Japanese buyers to have a real-time interface during the Philippine Reception.
The initial dates of the event are as follows:
• Osaka and/or Nagoya (One or two cities) – May 13
• Tokyo (One city) – May 14
• Optional date – (October or TBA)
In view of the COVID-19 pandemic’s effects on the tourism industry, the TPB would like to convey our support to the Philippine private sector participants by waiver of participation fee for this event. Should you be amenable to participate in the event in Manila, accommodation and/or airfare shall be shouldered by the respective participants.
On this note, we are conducting a survey to aid us in planning for the most feasible set-up for PBM 2021. We request you to answer the attached survey questionnaire and send it back to us not later than 05 February 2021 (Friday). Please send back the accomplished survey form to Ms. Francine Roca through email address [email protected].
Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you.
