Greetings from the Tourism Promotions Board!
The TPB invites its Philippine private sector partners to participate as co-exhibitors in the Diving Equipment and Marketing Association (DEMA) Show scheduled on 16-19 November 2021 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A.
Considered the “Olympics” of the scuba diving industry, the DEMA Show is the world’s largest and most important trade-only exhibition and conference that brings together under one roof about 10,000 participants, including exhibitors involving dive equipment, dive and travel destinations, water sports apparel, and services, among others. In 2019, a total of 602 exhibiting companies and 1,724 verified buyers attended the event which is in contrast to 2020, where the physical event was canceled by the DEMA Board of Directors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tradeshow organizers in the US are closely monitoring the situation and are very optimistic that with the ongoing vaccine roll-out in the U.S. and the health and safety protocols in place, it is expected that herd immunity is most likely to be achieved by the fall of 2021. Thus, allowing the return of in-person tradeshows, like DEMA Show 2021.
For this year, the Philippines will have an exhibit space of 30 x 50 (1,500 sq. ft), Booth No. 1152, that can comfortably accommodate twelve (12) companies with 2 delegates per company and on a first-come, first-served basis. This is to adhere to the health and safety protocols implemented by the organizers.
Interested participants will be entitled to the following:
- Table Top/space for B2B meetings and appointment at the Philippine stand;
- Access badge for a maximum of two (2) participants per company;
- Inclusion in press releases and advertising initiatives that the DOT/TPB may undertake; and,
- Other marketing efforts that will provide the private sector participants optimal advantage and benefit.
Interested companies are requested to accomplish and submit the attached Pre-Event Questionnaire and Participation Form, along with the submission of a valid PCSSD and DOT Accreditation Certificate. Participation fee is WAIVED as our way of supporting our industry partners towards recovery amidst the pandemic.
